Photocopier Service & Repair

We have been servicing photocopiers for more than thirty years, on every make worth naming and a good few that are not — Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Develop, Sharp, Kyocera and the lesser-known machines that other engineers would rather not open.
We will service a machine we did not sell you
We get asked constantly: will you service my photocopier if we bought it somewhere else? The answer is yes.
A lot of photocopier companies have not weathered the last few years, and their customers have been left with machines still under contract and nobody answering the phone. If that is you, call us. We will get you running again, and we will tell you honestly whether the machine is worth keeping or whether you would be better off replacing it — including if the honest answer costs us the sale.
COPYPLAN: one predictable cost per copy
Most of our customers are on COPYPLAN, our fully inclusive cost-per-copy maintenance scheme. One rate per page covers parts, labour, call-outs and toner. No separate consumable bills, no invoice for a call-out that turns out to be a ten-minute fix, no budgeting surprises at the end of the quarter.
If your current arrangement is a service contract with consumables billed separately, it is worth putting the two side by side. Most people are surprised.
Networking and connectivity faults
Networking a photocopier is genuinely complex. It has to hold a conversation with PCs, laptops, routers, hubs, switches and servers, any of which can change underneath it — a firmware update, a new router, an IT migration — and stop it talking.
It is not surprising that things stop communicating. This is where thirty years of doing it shows: connectivity faults are the ones inexperienced engineers give up on and blame on your IT. We fix them.
Often we can diagnose it before we set off
A surprising number of faults are network problems rather than machine problems. With your permission our technical team can log into your system remotely, and a good proportion of those get resolved there and then — no visit, no waiting in. Even where an engineer is needed, we can usually tell you what is wrong and roughly what it will cost over the phone.
Three-hour response across the North West
We are based in Leyland, Lancashire, close to the motorway network, and we hold a three-hour response time across the whole North West — Manchester, Blackburn, Bolton, Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancaster included.
That is not a line about "nationwide coverage". Our engineers are actually here, which is the only reason a three-hour commitment is worth making.
The same rate, whatever you are running
Whether it is a seven-year-old copier bought second hand or the latest networked digital system, our hourly rate is the same. Old machines do not attract a penalty rate, and we will not push you toward a replacement to avoid working on one.
Frequently asked questions
Will you repair a photocopier you didn't supply?
Yes. We service and repair all makes regardless of where the machine came from, including machines left unsupported when another supplier ceased trading. Give us the make and model and we will confirm we can cover it.
What makes of photocopier do you service?
All the major makes — Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Develop, Sharp and Kyocera — plus many of the lesser-known manufacturers. In more than thirty years of servicing copiers we have seen very few machines we could not work on.
What is COPYPLAN?
COPYPLAN is our fully inclusive cost-per-copy maintenance scheme. You pay one agreed rate per page and it covers parts, labour, call-outs and toner, so your print costs are predictable and there are no separate consumable or call-out invoices.
My photocopier has stopped printing over the network. Can you help?
Yes, and it is one of the most common calls we take. Network faults usually follow a change elsewhere — a new router, a firmware update, an IT migration. Our networking specialists diagnose and fix connectivity problems rather than referring you back to your IT provider.
How quickly can an engineer attend?
We hold a three-hour response time across the North West, including Manchester, Blackburn, Bolton, Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancaster. We are based in Leyland, close to the motorway network, which is what makes that commitment possible rather than a national average.
Do you charge more to repair an older photocopier?
No. Our hourly rate is the same whether the machine is a seven-year-old copier bought second hand or the latest networked digital system.
Can you fix a photocopier without visiting?
Often, yes. Many faults are network problems rather than machine problems, and with your permission our technical team can log into your system remotely and resolve them there and then. Where a visit is needed we can usually diagnose the fault and give you an estimated cost over the phone first.
